Matthew 18:35 So likewise shall my heavenly Father do also unto you, if ye from your hearts forgive not every one his brother their trespasses.

We can see from this verse that forgiveness is essential. Even though it can be one of the toughest things for us to do. Especially when it feels like the person who wronged us does not deserve forgiveness. We weigh the level of offense and determine if forgiveness is warranted. We, believers cannot be like the world. We have to be different. That is not to say it is easy to forgive but it can be done.

What helps me is ask God for help. I want to see people the way He sees them. Even if I feel like I am not holding anything against anyone, I still ask God to search my heart and see if I have any unforgiveness in my heart. We may be unaware that we are holding something over someone’s head. God will show us and help us to forgive.

We are called to forgive. After all, if God offers forgiveness for all of humanity regardless of the sin they have committed, then we can offer forgiveness to anyone. We are not greater than God. Thing about all the sin, immorality, violence, lie, theft, abuse, etc. You name it, it is all covered by the blood of Jesus. Anyone can ask God for forgiveness and He forgives right there on the spot. What a wonderful God we serve.

Heart is open

I will not turn away

From my brother or sister

We will be one

In harmony

Not turning from each other

We are one body

Under God

In the family of God

United by Him

We are for eavh other

With each other

By each other

Your side, my side

Glued with one love
