I love this scripture as it shows the relationship that the Lord God had with Adam. God would talk with Adam. I get the sense this was an ongoing thing. It is something that occurred often perhaps every day. God whole purpose was to have a relationship with us. He talks with us on an ongoing basis. We commune with Him.
Sometimes I think why would God choose to have relationship with man? What is so special about us that He is desiring relationship? I do not have all the answers. I am sure there is more to understand. I am just grateful that He chooses to do that. God chooses to be involved in our lives. It is dynamic. We can talk to Him and He talks to us. Jesus even said I have called you friends. That is beautiful to think about. I am a friend of God!
Think about what a friend means to you. This is the relationship we have with Jesus. He bears us up. He is in the thicket with us. Jesus is a man of sorrows meaning He relates to us. He understands our pain. He is well-acquainted with it. He lived on this earth and knows the plight of humanity.
Let us not take Jesus for granted. Let us include Him in our day. Jesus is present and walking alongside us. He is there when we feel joy and peace. He has gifted those things to us. We are blessed!

One that sits with you
Talks with you
Meets you where you are
To rescue you
Jesus is that friend
God’s extravagant love
Is revealed through Him
Jesus gave us all
Let us give all to Him
