Psalms 95:1b

Updated: Jan 21

Let us make a joyful noise to the rock of our salvation.

Make a noise that is joyful? Noise? We usually don't associate joy with noise. When I think of noise, I think of something unpleasant, hurting my eardrums. Just the thought of that is making me feel some type of way. But here in God's word we see that we should make a joyful noise. That noise should be loud, we should make known the presence of the Lord. Let us shout, dance, jump, beat the drums, shake our tambourines, blow our horns and lift our praises to Jesus.

Jesus is the rock. We build our hope on Him. Jesus has made it possible to be redeemed back to God. He is the way to God. Our footing is sure. Our foundation is solid. We don't have to worry. We are not eternally lost. We have been delivered from the sting of death. With this knowledge and I mean heart knowledge, we can raise our voices and let the joy of the Lord roar.

The praises rise and the power flows

Existing in my hands and feet

I lift them up and stomp them down

Shaking each cymbal

As I delight in the Most High

Fire catches the soul

Beside me a dance

Breaking forth like an inferno

I weep from the glory

That shine about the room

A taste of His presence

Gives me the light of life
