Love is not for the fate of heart. Love is not weak. Love is so powerful it overlooks offenses. How many times have we been offended? Been wronged? Or someone we love been wronged? That is my wife. That is my mother. That is my child. That is my best friend. Doesn’t matter. Love refrains from arguments. Keeps it mouth shut to not stir up strife.
Love forgives. Many of us do not like that, forgiving someone. We have a tendency to want people to pay for what they have done. We feel justified when someone gets what we feel they deserve. They should be punished! They hurt me. Isn’t that how we feel at times? But look at how God handles things. He forgives. As soon as someone is repentant, forgiveness is right there. He is willing to forgive, not only willing but He has the ability to forgive. Sometimes we feel like we are unable to forgive let alone feel willing, but if God can forgive us, then we can do the same. That is how love works.
God loves so much that is compels us to want to fully love Him and follow Him. Let’s live in agreement with His will.
Crimes against my flesh
Blood boiling boldly
Piped down to a simmer
Thoughts of your forgiveness
Towards me I go deep
Into a land of thankfulness
Bowed down in humility
Dwelling on the Light
Shining beams of love
The peccadillos no longer affect
My state of being
Under the anointing I fall
