The body of Christ, be on guard. Think of yourself as a security guard. We are securing our eternal home. I think about the life we are going to transition into after this existence ceases. We are going to be in the presence of God forever and forever. The existence of an eternity without God is the greatest threat we face. That is the part that needs to be emphasized that often goes unsaid. Not that Hell is not a horror but the horror that I see more than ever before is not experiencing God. Never to feel His love, never to feel joy, peace, warmth, wholeness, comfort, security, etc.
Have you ever had a moment where you were enraptured in God’s presence? His presence is always there but I mean when you come to where you can feel His presence so intensely. You get all those expressions I just mentioned a few sentences ago. His love encompasses all of that and much more. An existence without that love for an eternity is the scariest thought. I could never imagine a life without knowing God’s love. It is life itself. It is what my core being wants to know more than anything. I literally need His love in my life. I need to ingest it. I need it and I want it. Once you have experienced it, you can never not want it. It is the fulfillment we all have been longing for and it can only satisfy.
