I think to really know someone’s love is when you experience that love. That is not to say that hearing the words “I love you” doesn’t mean anything because if you are like me, then you need to hear it. However, it is not only in saying I love you but showing that I love you. I believe the same can be said of God’s love. That isn’t to say we can’t affirm our belief on God’s word alone. Honestly that is really good enough.
He also lets us experience His love through our emotions, through that inner voice, through other people caring for us, in providence with healing, finances, and desires that we may have. It’s all because He loves us.
I had a desire for a magnet. Yes, I have become a collector of magnets. I know there are other magnet collectors out there. A family member of mine went on vacation and when they returned, they had a gift for me. I was surprised because I wasn’t expecting anything. And when I opened the gift, well you already know what it was. It was a magnet! I didn’t tell them I wanted that, but God surely knew my desire and blessed me with it.
There are times when I think how sad God must be when we get upset over things, we think we need to be fulfilled. When we feel unloved, and He is there loving us. When we feel lonely, and He is there with us. I challenge you when you don’t feel loved, ask God to help you experience more of His love. He has plenty to give, so open up and let it pour in.
Through the deepest galaxies I roam
This star speaks
That star speaks
Till my vessel
Is flooded and bursting
To know you is to experience you
Experience it all I could never
For you are so vast, for you are so high
